DESCRIPTION:Each year, the Queer Film Marathon’s Retrospective Section celebrates a filmmaker whose work has profoundly shaped queer and critical cinema.\nThis year we pay tribute to Pedro Almodóvar, the Spanish filmmaker whose daring, colorful, and transgressive films have expanded the boundaries of queer storytelling. A central figure of Madrid’s countercultural movement La Movida Madrileña, Almodóvar made his feature debut with Pepi, Luci, Bom and Other Girls Like Mom (1980). In the decades that followed, he became one of the world’s most acclaimed filmmakers, celebrated for his taboo-breaking stories exploring sexuality, gender, and desire.\nJoin us for three special screenings at Vila31 x ArtExplora.Open participationWith English and Albanian subtitles\n*The program is organized by the Heinrich Böll Stiftung Tirana Office, in collaboration with OMSA Albania, as part of the local office’s wider political education efforts through film and art.\n//\nÇdo vit, rubrika Retrospektivë e Queer Film Marathon i bën homazh një autori kinematografik, vepra e të cilit ka lënë gjurmë në kinemanë kritike dhe queer.
