DESCRIPTION:MOMAFAD 2 – Legacy Landscapes ✨\nWe are excited to announce the second edition of MOMAFAD (Museum of Modern Art for A Day) taking place in the Bay of Vlora, Albania from September 2–4, 2025.\nMOMAFAD @momafad (The Museum of Modern Art for A Day) is a project initiated by the contemporary Greek artist Dionisis Christofilogiannis @dionisis_christofilogiannis_ reclaiming spaces and transforming them into museums for the duration of one day. In this second edition, Christofilogiannis is teaming up with Elian Stefa @elian.stefa , the Albanian curator and director of Galeria e Bregdetit @galeria.e.bregdetit in Radhima (Vlora), Albania, to explore and reactivate three important locations in the Bay of Vlora — locations which hold significant layers of historical overlapping, and potential for interaction with contemporary art.\nEach edition brings together the works of a group of contemporary artists who loan their artworks, which are handed over to the project’s organizers to be exhibited for one day. Subsequently photographed, these temporary installations are turned into a permanent piece of the site’s history.\nMOMAFAD 2 will highlight three significant sites in the Bay of Vlora, at the intersection of the Adriatic and Ionian seas: Old Tragjas village, the ancient city of Oricum, and the abandoned island of Sazan.\nThis project was supported by the Ministry of Culture of Greece @minculturegr , and the Ministry of Culture, Economy, and Innovation of Albania @meki.gov.al\n
